-- Research and reporting on science topics, including a five-part series on biotechnology for KUOW Radio, Seattle. The stories garnered first prize for a reporting series from the WA Press Association.

-- Research and writing of several multi-chapter units for a new biology textbook McDougal-Littel, a subsidiary of the major US textbook publisher Houton-Mifflin.
